Last night Davenport produced one of the biggest surprises of the tournament, beating in straights sets 6-4 6-2 the 2nd seed, Ana Ivanovic. Now she faced Dinara Safina. Because of that great result yesterday and because the fact that her name is Davenport and she used to be so good in the past the odds on her are very low.

I say this match will be a tight one. Davenport will win it only if Safina makes too many mistakes, like Ivanovic did. Daveport is not at her best still! Safina really has a chance and the odds are very good. Bet on her!

Sporting Lisbon - Glasgow Rangers

After a 0-0 draw at Glasgow both sides are hoping to improve and to qualify.

Sporting come after 3 straight wins in Superliga and Rangers are restrainghtend by the win in their derby with Celtic, although the week-end did not went so well: 3-3 at Dundee.

The 1-1 draw in Athens against Panathinaikos gives the visitors hopes they can repet the performance to qualify in the second leg.  In my oppinion, they went allreade very far, beating Werder and Pana.

Sporting qualified after 1-1 and 1-0 against Bolton. They showed they can qualify at home in importat matches so all depends on them tonight.

I can not see Rangers passing through. Sporting were present in some UEFA CUP semi's lately, so they have a tradition of going through. I think they'll manage to qualify by winning this match.

Last night i went with Tipsarevic against Johansson and i'm going with him again tonight. He is in very good shape while Youzhny is struggling to find his form. He merely won the match with Almagro.

The two have met only once, this year in Rotterdam, The Serbian winning in straight sets 7-6 6-4.
